Abstract

Many educational institutions, including SMP Negeri 1 Cisitu, must keep up with technological advances in education. Currently, SMP Negeri 1 Cisitu does not have an online learning tool to facilitate the delivery of information, so the learning process is still conventional with class methods such as providing material, practicing questions, exams, and discussions. Time constraints and lack of learning resources cause students to be less active and creative. The purpose of this research is to design UI/UX design of E-Learning information system for SMP Negeri 1 Cisitu that is user friendly. The research uses the User Centered Design (UCD) method with four stages: determining the context of use, determining user and organizational needs, generating design solutions, and evaluating designs based on user needs. The results of User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ) testing consisting of six rating scales (attractiveness, perspicuity, efficiency, depandability, stimulation, and novelty) show that five aspects (attractiveness, clarity, efficiency, fixity, novelty) are in the good category, while the stimulation aspect is in the excellent category. These results indicate that the design that has been designed is feasible to be realized into a website.
