Abstract

Measurement of usability in default music applications on smartphones is measured from eight variables that must be fulfilled so that an application reaches the ideal level of usability, namely efficiency, ease of learning, satisfaction, error handling, memory load, usability (usability), compliance with specifications (conformity to specification), responsiveness (responsiveness). Data collection techniques and modeling tools use Partial Least Squares – Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The research data was obtained by distributing 30 questionnaires to respondents who were randomly selected with the condition that they had used the default music application on a smartphone. The results showed that the variables efficiency, errors, responsiveness, satisfaction did not have a positive effect on the use of default music applications on smartphones with a total effect of 0.132, 0.008, -0.078, 0.027 respectively. While the variables conformity to specification, learnability, and memorability have a positive effect on the use of default music applications on smartphones with a total effect of 0.395, 0.218, 0.388 respectively.
